Our Story
How BaseLock came to be and what drives us forward
BaseLock was founded in 2026 by people who'd spent years protecting big companies from cyberattacks. We saw a gap: while large enterprises had expensive tools and full security teams, everyone else was stuck with off-the-shelf antivirus that mostly just slowed your computer down.
Our team brought together decades of experience from top security companies and government agencies. We watched the same kinds of threats that used to target only Fortune 500 companies start showing up on regular people's laptops and small business networks. The tools to fight them stayed locked behind enterprise contracts and complicated dashboards.
We set out to fix that. BaseLock gives you the same protection big companies use, with none of the complexity. A human threat-hunting team watches every device, and when something needs a decision, we ask you one plain question.

Asante Babers
Founder & CEOArmy Veteran
Asante learned to protect military communications in the Army, where he held a government security clearance and served a tour overseas. He spent the next twenty years attacking and defending networks for the Department of Defense, Microsoft, Google and Salesforce, earning the OSCP and CISSP, two of the hardest certifications in the field. Then he looked at his own family's laptops and realized none of that protection reached them. BaseLock is what closed that gap.
Quinn Babers

Quinn spent over ten years in the Army running IT help desks across the Department of Defense, holding a government security clearance. Through all of it, she was the person everyone called when the technology stopped working. She left the Army honorably to pursue a master's degree in information technology, and now runs BaseLock's operations and keeps its projects moving.
Ashvin Ashoke
Founding Engineer
Ashvin has built his career in security operations and detection and incident response, designing the systems companies rely on to spot attacks, investigate them and respond. At BaseLock he works across security engineering, product and roadmap, turning the practices of sophisticated security teams into protection anyone can use.
